For your amusement, an afternoon distraction:
I had the weirdest dreams last night, or snippets of what I can remember at least. First one, I was working for some concert organizer, I'm not sure where, but we may have been planning a concert for like a school or something. But we got...Robbie Williams, and I was all excited. We were trying to figure out what to do because someone had to pick him up at the airport and I was all excited that I might actually get that close to see him and all, when the boss tells me I can go get him if I want...and that's where that one ended!
Next one - I was in Edinburgh. It was like spring or summer 'cause it was warm. I was walking from High Street to Prince's and then down Prince's Street. (I went by way of that twisty road down the hill Mel, I forget its name but it's the one with the Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel and that weird poster store, oh, Cockburn, that's it!) So anyway, I'm walking down the street barefoot, not very smart of me but there you go. There was this guy walking in front of me who kept looking back at some noise he was hearing. So finally he looks again and it's...Apolo Anton Ohno! He looks at me and is like, 'oh, that's what it is, I kept hearing some strange noise.' It was the cuffs of my jeans dragging on the street because, of course, my jeans are too long. (Really people, short people exist in this world, make pants for them!) So we get to talking and have a great old time. We're walking down Prince's Street but Prince's Street Gardens becomes a CA beach with people out there on their surf boards and all. I comment that I haven't been able to get out there because of work but he has been out there in between his practices and races.
Apolo Anton Ohno is now my Olympic boyfriend. (Hey, I have my own little world!) Yes, I've been watching a lot of the Olympics...
Okay, back to work, I have a meeting now!

Okay, so I missed a blog on V-Day so a Happy Valentine's a day late, or a happy just-like-any-other-day day, as you see fit. Damn this not being able to get on the internet at home. I am seriously disappointed with you Comcast, I laugh and mock your commercials where you proclaim your high speed abilities because you lie! You lie! And I am mighty tired of it!
So things are going just as swimmingly as ever, um, I guess. The move to the back at work has gone okay and I am now spread over, like, 3 departments - I'm multi talented! And Spring Break officially starts next week, oh how exciting. Really. See my enthusiasm, look hard.
Oh, and totally off subject...I just thought of it again and the annoyance is flooding back. I hate, absolutely hate, when people throw their disgusting cigarette butts out the window of their cars. These foul things go hitting the ground, orange sparks flashing everywhere, but, and here's my problem, those things come bouncing off the ground and come flying back at my car! This has happened several times, the latest yesterday, and one came flying back and smacked the middle of my windshield! I cannot convey how pissed this makes me and how I am then compelled to scream 'pig' as loud as possible! Ugh, it is absolutely foul!
Okay, rant finished. On the other hand, I saw this on a bumper sticker the other day and it was one of those perfect little quotes, the kind you want to get down quick (I have a book I keep...honestly) because it was just how I feel sometimes....
Not all who wander are lost...
And you know what song has the major potential to be as cheeseball as they come, but that I still quite like? 'Hero' by Enrique Inglesias. Yes, yes, I know, but I like it!

So I am moving at work. Ooh, um, yay? Right now, I have my nice desk by the window. It's a bit small but it's out in the front, with everybody else, and, did I mention, it's right next to the wall length window?! Someone in the accounting department is leaving. Since we only need someone in accounting for about another month and a half, they do not think it practical to hire someone new, they see fit to move me in the back to have me help out with accounting, along with everything else I'm doing now! Isn't this lovely? Though while, yes, it can be construed as flattering; they trust me to take this on and trust me to be the only one left on her own, but um, I'm an English major, hello? What do I know about accounting? Hopefully, it will only be helping out a bit entering info and payments and I'll just continue with the regular stuff I do. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this whole thing...

I actually watched the Superbowl this weekend, believe it or not! Went to a Superbowl party, but I must admit my main motivation for watching was U2 at half-time. And they were good, very good, not surprising, of course. Loved the 9/11 tribute they did though. They did something like that at the concert in October as well. Glad the Patriots won too. I know absolutely nothing about football but I base this on the fact that 1. they were the underdog; and 2. my high school teams were the Patriots.

Just a place to let out some of my random thoughts. May not know what I'm doing but I'm always learning something.
